This year Christmas started earlier than expected. December is my month because in addition to the Christmas holidays I have a Name Day (which has already passed) and a Birthday (to come). December is also the month of the beautiful evening dresses which means more legs to show and the smooth legs are must-have. The first gift for the holidays is already in my hands thanks to Braun. I fell in love with the epilator Braun Silk–épil 9-561 from the first sigh, and the reasons are below.
1. Design
As a fashion blogger, it is important for me to buy products with beautiful design. I know this can’t be the main reason to buy something, but it is the first thing that impressed me in Silk–épil 9. I think it is the most elegant epilator I’ve seen. It is not only beautiful but also very suitable for my hand. Thanks to its ergonomic shape, it is easy to use, whether you epilating your body or face. It is light and fits perfectly in my hand.
2. Functionality
The Braun Silk-épil 9 has a 40% wider head, which means more hairs removed in one move. This makes the entire epilation process much faster and that is a plus, especially if you are a woman valuing your time. The device features a modern MicroGrip technology that includes wider and longer tweezers that capture even the tiniest hairs. It also easily eliminates those above my upper lip, which are very thin. I like the Wet & Dry function, which means that the epilator can also be used in the bathroom.
3. No pain
For a long time, I refused to use my epilator for my feet to avoid the pain. To be honest, I can not stand any pain. So when I was looking for a new epilator, it was important for me to be as painless as possible. Silk-épil 9 has a massaging head that reduces the discomfort, but if you expect that there will be no pain at all, then epilation is not for you. The truth is that the procedure with this epilator is not completely painless, but I can stand it, especially after a few uses when the pain almost disappears.
It took me 30 minutes to epilate my entire legs, which is a very good time, given the fact that I didn’t epilate my legs for two weeks (shame on me). Most hairs are removed with one move, but it’s recommended to repeat if you do not want to miss a spot. For best results, hairs should be 2-5 mm long (that’s what’s written in the instructions), but even for longer or shorter it has a great effect. After hair removal, my feet are incredibly smooth, especially after applying a moisturizing cream. This feeling lasts for 4-5 days, and after that, the hairs start to feel if you touch with a hand in the opposite direction of growth but you can’t see them with a naked eye. My hairs grow quickly, so I’ll have to epilate every 10 days to 2 weeks. If you are one of those lucky girls with blond slow growing hairs, you will be able to spend more than a month with a single procedure. Don’t forget to exfoliate your skin regularly to avoid ingrown hairs.
