How to dress for a job interview

Lifestyle

If you are looking for a job and you go from one interview to another, you should know that your outfit is what creates the first impression. Your choice of clothing will be considered as one of the indicators showing how serious you are. Therefore, it is important to choose the right outfit, which at the same time doesn’t distract from your personality.

If the company you are applying for is conservative, the most appropriate outfit would be a dark two-piece suit. Match it with a light blouse or a cotton shirt. Forget about the thin shoulder straps tops or the t-shirts under the blazer.

If the company is known for its casual work environment, you can choose more informal clothing, but without looking too neglected. Pants combined with a chic blouse, or a skirt and shirt combined with an elegant cardigan is a good choice.

Choose elegant jewelry but don’t overdo it. The huge necklaces and earrings that are so trendy right now are too inappropriate because they distract from your personality and what you are saying at the job interview.

Medium heels shoes in a neutral color are the classic choice for an interview. No matter how much you want to wear those new killer ultra high heel neon shoes, here’s the same rule as with the jewelry – do not overdo it.
