Two weeks ago, I took out all winter clothes from the closet and released space the spring to come in. I’ve always loved that season because it gives me the freedom to experiment and wear cool outfits. Although there are still some cold days, spring is actually the time of the year I look and feel the best. And that gives me that desirable self-esteem, which I’ll need on the beach in a month or two.
But let’s go back to spring outfits. Like everyone else, I have my favorite combos that I often reach when choosing what to wear in the morning. A dress with sneakers is my eternal favorite and has a special place in my heart. I can wear this from Monday to Sunday and you will never hear me saying: “I have nothing to wear”. This season, the so-called “ugly” sneakers are everywhere again. Actually, they are not ugly at all, at least that’s my opinion. I chose these Adidas sneakers, because I fell in love with them at first sight, when I entered the Deichmann store “just to take a look”. You know how it is.
The truth is, I was a bit shilly-shally about having such sneakers because I thought the thick chunky soles would look ridiculous on my thin ankles, but they actually didn’t. Still, I chose sneakers that are not so massive and they are also so comfortable that the feeling is as if I’m walking on a cloud. Here is a piece of advice if you also have very thin ankles, and you like that kind of shoes – wear interesting socks. I’m crazy on the glittered socks and I don’t forget to get new pairs every season.
As soon as I took the sneakers, I imagined them with this exact dress, because it is so charming and romantic – a complete contrast, but it is still a perfect match. Combined in this way, the dress and the shoes can’t go unnoticed, and I have got a lot of compliments for my outfit. I finished the look with a green headband. If you haven’t heard the headbands are a top accessory trend this spring and I am very pleased with this fact because I love them.
